Mission
During the COVID pandemic, I undertook a project to develop a product for e-commerce. As a new resident of San Diego, I found myself relying heavily on a phone holder while exploring the city. However, I discovered that existing products had a major problem with how they distributed the weight of the phone. To address this issue for myself and others, I set out to redesign this device to improve functionality and create a superior design.
Configurations
Because this product was made for online buying and shipping, I had to think about how it would be packaged and sent. To make it easier, I created interchangeable parts that are simple to use. These parts also allow for customization, which I wanted to add to a web interface in the future.
Colors
In my research I found that the best online products offer different colors to choose from. These colors can be changed and parts can be replaced, so the product lasts longer and can be personalized to suit your changing style and preferences. These are the four base colorways I chose to offer the product in.
